Black Swan (produced by Ari Handel, Scott Franklin, Mike Medavoy, Arnold Messer, and Brian Oliver) is a 2010 fascinating drama-horror movie directed by Darren Aronofsky and written by Mark Heyman, Andres Heinz, and John J. McLaughlin. This is a great story of a young, beautiful, weak, and mentally ill ballerina Nina Sayers, played by Natalie Portman. Portman won the Academy Award Best Actress award for her play in Black Swan and the film received nomination for Best Director by Aronofsky and Best Picture.
Nina is a hardworking member of a New York City ballet company. Nina’s mother, played by Barbara Hershey, was a ballerina who impregnated Nina during her ballerina career and as a result Barbara gave up her career in order to raise Nina as a brilliant ballerina. Barbara is controlling Nina’s life in every aspect from her eating to nervous habits and it seems like Nina is very scared of her mother for instance, during different plots Nina is trying to cover the itch marks on her body from her mother or she is unwillingly eating cake and breakfast in order not to make her mother upset. Thomas Leroy, played by Vincent Cassel, the director of New York City Ballet Company is looking for a new face to play the head in Swan Lake. He chose Nina to replace the company’s star Beth played by Winona Ryder. He wants Nina to play the Swan Queen. However, Thomas is concerned about Nina’s capability to play the Black Swan half of this dual role because Nina is too much in control of her feeling and movements.
Aronofsky had the same story repeated in his 2008 film Wrestler played by Mickey Rourke. Natalie Portman and Mickey Rourke are representing challenging performances for totally two different kinds of art, ballerina and wrestling. Nina is facing the same problem as the wrestler. She knows that she doesn’t have the devil character in herself but she wants to force herself to perform the role, that’s when she starts to experience frequent feathery skin rash, hallucinations and anxiety attacks with her progress in rehearsal. Nina, just like the wrestler, pushes herself very hard; she forces herself through the rehearsals because she wants to be the best.
Black Swan is a rich enjoyable dramatic movie that connects with audience very well. The movie touches the audience as they watch the great performance of Portman dancing on stage and during rehearsals as White Swan. The dramatic and deep dialogs between Nina and Thomas or the love and happiness of Nina’s mother when she found out that Nina is selected for swan queen emphasize the dramatic tone of the movie and help the audience to feel the passion and love of Nina’s for dancing or her mother for Nina in the movie. However, when Nina changes to a bird and danced to the devil character of black swan, the dramatic genre of movie changes to horror. Audience can both see and feel the madness and evil spirit in Nina’s eyes and face. Moreover, audience was shocked and scared when Nina turned to an aggressive person and stands up to her mother and fight with her.

What the hell should I say new about the Terminator—the old-school sci-fi movie made by James Cameron? Every jackass on this planet has seen it at least 2 times, the first time in theater 1984-85 and the second time at home with the following 200 rewinds on VHS. I can definitely say here that the first Terminator (1984) is the best part of the whole franchise. Many people might say “No! The Judgment Day is the best!” but it might be not so fair to judge the first movie in comparison with the second one.

The Terminator 2 Judgment Day, aka T2, was more action movie than horror and thriller and yes, it was a far advanced in special effects because it was 1992 back then, the computer technologies and MTV propaganda were highly raising in development in comparison with 1984.
[image small=”http://www.dead4movie.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Terminator.jpg” big=”http://www.dead4movie.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Terminator.jpg” align=”right” width=”250″ height=”150″ type=”image” skin=”on”]
Did the Terminator confuse the future?
I can describe the plot easily: 2028—the machines are rising from the ashes of the civilization. The Skynet (your NET provider) starts the war against the humanity but unnamed hero John Connor is the last hope.
In 1984 the presence of that forecast was admissible and realistic for many people. I mean, what does many people had in 1984? First mobile phones in the size of the hand of Hulk Hogan? Only the thought about a robot in a human flesh was terrorizing our minds, but that was in XXth century not today.
[image small=”http://www.dead4movie.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/terminator1984.png” big=”http://www.dead4movie.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/terminator1984.png” align=”left” width=”250″ height=”150″ type=”image” skin=”on”]
Now in 2011 we can definitely say that Fisher and Cameron have missed with the calculations. It’s not feasible to have such well developed terminator technology in 2028. It might sound more realistic if we suppose it in 2058, that would be more realistic prediction. But till 2028 we still have a time to wait!

The first Terminator interesting with its narration and atmosphere, which kind of absented in the second Terminator. I have really appreciated the work of Michael Biehn as a Kyle Reeze in this movie he worked very well, holding the audience tensed as never before!
Don’t believe me? Try and watch it again motherfuckers!
[blockquote]What means "B" movie? B-best movie!
American Cyborg – the American trash “B” leveled sci-fi movie produced and promoted by the same movie studio Cannon Films (Cyborg-1989). By the way, “B” means Best movie.
First of all, don’t you see any resemblance with the Terminator I? Look at the picks, the director was definitely under Cameron’s impression here. Of course, doing a job about cyborgs, broken metal hands and red eyes you would eventually fall under the Terminator category.
[image small=”http://www.dead4movie.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/cyborg.jpg” big=”http://www.dead4movie.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/cyborg.jpg” align=”left” width=”180″ height=”140″ type=”image” skin=”on”] The movie was aired right after successful T2 Judgment Day in hope to make the same box office revenue, or at least close to the T2 success. However, it actually bombed in gross offices like a nuclear blast, earning only a half of million. But does that fact makes a movie sucks?
Let’s look closer at the American Cyborg. First of all, that title sounds already cheesy, why use word “American”? Does it will sound more intimidating if we name the original Terminator with libel like American Terminator? [image small=”http://www.dead4movie.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/t1.jpg” big=”http://www.dead4movie.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/t1.jpg” align=”right” width=”140″ height=”160″ type=”image” skin=”on”]
First of all, I don’t think that the villain’s actor (the evil cyborg) was intimidating enough. Look at him, isn’t that guy a plumber from your neighborhood? Shitty casting? Now, take a look at the main character, he looks more like a Tarzan – sexy and wild gay guy. But I will give him a credit. He acts naturally and holds you in a chair. Maybe, one those actors whom we can call a natural born actor. The man really can roll out in any shitty situation.
[image small=”http://www.dead4movie.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/amcv.jpg” big=”http://www.dead4movie.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/amcv.jpg” align=”left” width=”180″ height=”160″ type=”image” skin=”on”] The American Cyborg’s world is an adventurous world! Just dive in and participate in an electronic drug contest and whore show under the umbrellas of the post-apocalyptic flea market. We have rebels, “radioactive leeches”, a strange gang of homosexuals and transvestites directly from the Clockwork Orange movie, a gang of hungry factory clan, an acid rain pouring out of nowhere and wild cannibals who are ready to tear apart any leaving creature laying on the ground without movement. And my God, I do not recommend you to even take a little snooze in that world, because dangerous radical forces are everywhere in this movie! Enemies are everywhere!
The strong points of the movie are creepy locations, dark backgrounds and the music. The music is really epic and locations of the devastated city are really scaring a shit of you. I even can say that they are closer to the first Terminator and Cyborg (1989). At least for me, they are more natural and convincing than in Escape from New York.
My point for this movie is 4/5, what’s yours?
Welcome to Clive Barker’s dark mind.
Holly shit, this guy is sick! I mean only a total schizoid like him can create those freaks in leather, yeah I mean the Cenobites. The man is talent and knows the ways of dark marketing, coz the monsters look stylish and memorable. My favorite is a Pinhead and asshole with the black glasses.
First of all, this movie a classic and like a second part it is a hit of all times without any shadow of doubt. However, let’s look at some ridiculous and freaking out moments, you know I like to do that!!!
[image small=”http://www.dead4movie.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/chatterer.jpg ” big=”http://www.dead4movie.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/chatterer.jpg” align=”right” width=”250″ height=”150″ type=”image” skin=”on”]
First of all, how the hellraiser – the villain guy who escaped from the Cenobites – how he fucking escaped from them? I mean, if he was dead and was torn apart in hell how the fuck he escaped to a material world in condition of a slime? If you remember he was under floor in a slime condition drinking the blood. Moreover, later he said what he deceived Cenobites and escaped. Let me guess, he said “Hey guys, look, an alien!” and when the Cenobites turned their heads away he has slimmed away. Holly crap!
[image small=”http://www.dead4movie.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/hellr.jpg” big=”http://www.dead4movie.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/hellr.jpg” align=”left” width=”180″ height=”250″ type=”image” skin=”on”]
Okay these are a horror and mystic fantasies nobody gives a shit about logic of hell, and this is maybe a fair point, but we still have another unsolved misunderstanding. When the main heroine (the young girl) holds the hell cube and the Cenobite are appearing to take her in hell, she mentions that bastard hellraiser. And what do you thinks
So what is about a cube? If it is so powerful then why the Cenobites don’t take it away to sweet hell? What the fuck? I mean they like “Don’t do that! Give us that cube it’s all us” and then the girl solves the puzzle they vanish! I mean we can definitely see that they can touch physical objects; they are already in a real fucking world in her house! They are staying in a floor, they are crashing woods, sending chains, one fat Cenobite with glasses even has been smashed by a falling apart ceiling. I mean, just take the fucking cube and get the hell out of the…. Earth?
Okay I don’t wanna bitch around that question, the movie is awesome, I want to recommend it to the new Transformer and WWF generation to watch, or better to read it! Or if you don’t the man with the nails in his head will tear your souls apart!
