What the hell should I say new about the Terminator—the old-school sci-fi movie made by James Cameron? Every jackass on this planet has seen it at least 2 times, the first time in theater 1984-85 and the second time at home with the following 200 rewinds on VHS. I can definitely say here that the first Terminator (1984) is the best part of the whole franchise. Many people might say “No! The Judgment Day is the best!” but it might be not so fair to judge the first movie in comparison with the second one.

The Terminator 2 Judgment Day, aka T2, was more action movie than horror and thriller and yes, it was a far advanced in special effects because it was 1992 back then, the computer technologies and MTV propaganda were highly raising in development in comparison with 1984.

Did the Terminator confuse the future?
I can describe the plot easily: 2028—the machines are rising from the ashes of the civilization. The Skynet (your NET provider) starts the war against the humanity but unnamed hero John Connor is the last hope.
In 1984 the presence of that forecast was admissible and realistic for many people. I mean, what does many people had in 1984? First mobile phones in the size of the hand of Hulk Hogan? Only the thought about a robot in a human flesh was terrorizing our minds, but that was in XXth century not today.

Now in 2011 we can definitely say that Fisher and Cameron have missed with the calculations. It’s not feasible to have such well developed terminator technology in 2028. It might sound more realistic if we suppose it in 2058, that would be more realistic prediction. But till 2028 we still have a time to wait!

The first Terminator interesting with its narration and atmosphere, which kind of absented in the second Terminator. I have really appreciated the work of Michael Biehn as a Kyle Reeze in this movie he worked very well, holding the audience tensed as never before!
Don’t believe me? Try and watch it again motherfuckers!
