Advertising and Promotion

Advertising is a marketing term which is closely connected to financial niche of every businessman and entrepreneur. The difference between a businessman and entrepreneur is also valuable and definite.

A businessman is a man who conducts the business but an entrepreneur is  a person who creates a new business. Here is a version of direct advertising where a movie distributor describes his product as a merchandise – the price, the quality (“the best action movie”) and the availability of it on the film market.

“Transformers III became a successful picture of the year – reports New York Times!”

Here we do not advertise the movie as we do not indicate on any price, “quality” or availability of the “goods”!But in this case we just promote it making the buzz around the movie to get that valuable attention.

If a movie advertising is a more direct and therefore an expensive tool than a movie promotion, the last one might cost you absolutely nothing.

A movie promotion is nothing more than of boasting of your movie project by means of telling about it in an indirect way. Open a website or a blog and tell to everyone that Transformers III is so great movie that you even bought it on DVD, and that will be your part of the movie promotion.
